Text Box: BOARD NOTES FROM THE FEBRUARY 19, 2008 MEETING OF THE PRINCEVILLE BOARD OF EDUCATION... Text Box: The Princeville Board of Education held a special board meeting on February 19, 2008. The main purpose of the meeting was to interview and select a board member to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of board member Laura Ehnle. The Board of Education was pleased to have three very qualified community members interested in being appointed to the Princeville Board of Education to fill the remainder of Mrs. Ehnle’s term. Andrew Black, Miles Colwell, and Cindy Loos were interviewed by the Board of Education. Each interested party also provided information to board members through the completion of a questionnaire. Miles Colwell was appointed to fill the vacancy on the Princeville Board of Education. Mr. Colwell previously served one term as a Princeville School District board member, completing his service in April of 2005. In other action items, related to Board reorganization, Steve Rees was elected as Vice-President of the Board of Education. Miles Colwell was appointed to serve on Board committees for communication, curriculum, and finance. One personnel item was part of the agenda, with John Romane being employed as the PHS Assistant Girls’ Softball Coach. The Board of Education has scheduled three special meetings on February 25, 26, and 27. The purpose of these meetings is to interview and discuss candidates for the Princeville High School principalship.
