Text Box: PRINCEVILLE PRAISE Tom Smit, Princeville community member, has been chosen by the Princeville School District Board of Education as the June, 2007 recipient of PRINCEVILLE PRAISE. Tom Smit has served the Princeville High School students for the past eight years as a volunteer chess team coach. As an excellent chess player, Tom has shared his knowledge with the chess team at practices, matches, and tournaments. His nomination states, “Over the years, Tom has been able to form a connection with the students and has motivated them to excel while enjoying their chess team experiences.” Tom Smith has freely given of his time and expertise to benefit our PHS students. We thank him for all he has done for our students and chess team program. Tom Smit is certainly deserving of PRINCEVILLE PRAISE.
