Outline

 

Course Description:  This course is designed to help students think through the responsibilities, satisfactions, and stress of adult relationships. Many types of parenting styles are examined. The roles of community and social situations are explored. Special attention is given to the needs of teenage parents and to the importance of the readiness for parenthood. Learning experiences will focus also on the knowledge, skills, and understandings needed by families for their role as a consumer, their consumer rights and responsibilites, the force of supply and demand, and the management of resources related to the family.

Grading:  Students grades will be determined by tests, daily work, projects, and laboratory experiences.

 

EXTRA CREDIT: Extra Credit work will be available to students each grading period.
