Intro to FACS

Outline

 

Course Description:  Orientation to Family & Consumer Sciences is the first course for all related programs. It is designed to present basic subject matter in all six areas of FACS learning: clothing/textiles; resource management; foods and nutrition; housing, furnishing and equipment; human development, interpersonal and family relationships; introduction to the world of work and careers. Learning experiences will assist students in understanding themselves, their roles in today’s society, and the role to technology at home and at work. Students will have the opportunity to use computer applications in these areas of study.

Grading:  Students grades will be determined by tests, daily work, projects, and laboratory experiences.

 

EXTRA CREDIT: Extra Credit work will be available to students each grading period.
