Child Development

Outline

 

Course Description:  Child Development examines the development of children from conception through adolescence. Emphasis is placed on increased understanding of children and the basic skills necessary to relate to them. Opportunities for observations will serve as the basis for classroom discussion and study. Opportunity to participate with the infant care simulator, Baby Think It Over, is provided. The many career opportunities available with child care are examined, as well as the legal and moral responsibilities of child abuse recognition.

Grading:  Students grades will be determined by tests, daily work, projects, and laboratory experiences.

 

EXTRA CREDIT: Extra Credit work will be available to students each grading period.
